Where can I buy a JYRO (previously NZ Aerosports Icarus) canopy?
How do I place an order?
If buying direct, simply head to our e-commerce store, design your canopy on our state-of-the-art 3D canopy colour picker, and put through the order online. Watch a video here on how to order. You'll receive an email straight away to tell you we've received your order and it's awaiting confirmation by our sales team!
What information will I be required to purchase a canopy from JYRO?
On the order form, you'll be asked to provide your basic skydiving history, your contact details, shipping & billing address and any other instructions you may wish to give our sales team.
Why do you ask for my skydiving history at the time of ordering?
Our sales team will review your details to make sure you have the experience to jump your desired canopy. We want to make sure you get the canopy that suits your skills in the best way possible. We may ask you to provide a reference from a canopy coach or instructor to confirm the purchase.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
A deposit of just US$100 per canopy is required when you place your order. If you are paying in a different currency, the deposit will be the equivalent of US$100 using the current exchange rate.
When is the final balance due?
We will send out a payment request for the final balance approximately 4 weeks before your estimated completion date. We will not be able to ship your order until we have received full payment.
Do I have to pay in US dollars?
We offer 4 currencies to choose from - USD, Euro, AUD & NZD. Select which currency you would like at the top right of the page from the drop down menu.
What’s the lead time?
You can view our lead time on the Home Page of our website. Check out the main banner and the lead times will be on it.
How long does it take to get a stock canopy?
If the stock canopy you are ordering is marked as READY, you could be jumping it next weekend! A ready stock canopy can be shipped out as soon as payment is received, and shipping generally takes 3-5 working days to most locations. If it is marked as IN PRODUCTION the lead time may vary, but it usually only takes a few weeks to be finalised and shipped out.
What if you don't have the stock canopy I'm after?
Our stock sells out fast! If you can't find what you are looking for, register your interest and we'll update you as soon as we have your canopy back in stock.
Can I pay a rush fee to get my canopy faster?
Rush orders are by application only and depend on the volume of current orders. If you really really need your canopy faster, shoot us an email to email@example.com and we'll see what we can do. Price on application. No guarantees!
I can’t wait to get my new canopy! How can I check when it will be completed?
You can check the due date of your order by going to your My Profile and viewing your order. This is your estimated completion date and does not include shipping times.
Will my order get delayed?
We do our absolute best to get your canopy to you on time, however, delays can and do happen. We will inform you as soon as we can if your order will be delayed. Contact us if you are at all concerned or would like an update on your order.
If I have multiple products in an order, will they be shipped when ready, or altogether?
All orders will be shipped once all products in the order in question become available or complete. Upon request we may be able to ship certain products separately, if the difference in time of availability is significant. Read our Shipping FAQs for more information on shipping.
What if I want to buy through a dealer?

What's your return and/or refund policy?
We offer a full refund or an exchange (different size or type of canopy) within the first 10-15 jumps if the customer isn't satisfied with any part of the canopy. Read more in our Terms of Service.
What if the product I want is unavailable?
We will always endeavour to fulfil your order once completed and paid for. Should a product become unavailable after your order has been confirmed and paid for, when relevant, we will offer you a replacement of equal price and quality. Our sales team will contact you to negotiate a suitable solution; which may be but is not limited to a newer product, a discount, or in justified cases a full refund. If you accept the replacement, and then wish to return it to us in the conditions outlined under Right of Return, the return postage will be covered by us. If you choose to decline this offer, and the original product is permanently unavailable, we will reimburse the price of the unavailable product.
